Vol. 4 No. 1 (2022)Dear readers,
The thought that has been on my mind during the entire process of preparing this issue of MEBM, can be best explained by a famous qoute from Confucius: „It doesn’t matter how slow you go, as long as you don’t stop“. Two years have passed since the last issue of MEBM was published, and in those two years the world has faced one crisis after another, starting with the COVID-19 pandemic, which has irrevocably changed both the global landscape as well as our individual outlooks. This year we have witnessed with sadness and fear even more dramatic events, followed by images and stories which should not have a place in a modern world. So, maintaining some semblance of our normal lives, which, as scientists include sharing the data obtained by our research, has become even more important.
And therefore, thanks to the perseverance, patience, enthusiasm and focus of my colleagues in the MEBM team, the new issue of MEBM is before you. I hope that you will find the articles within of interest and I encourage you to become actively involved in the preparation of the next issue.
With the hope that the new 2023 will bring love, peace, joy and stability, I wish you all a joyous holidays season.

Vol. 3 No. 1 (2020)Dear readers,
The last few months have been a real challenge in maintaining a routine workflow for all of us, with vast changes, affecting both our professional and private lives, caused by COVID-19 pandemic. The effort it took to achieve even the simplest tasks was significant and therefore I must express my gratitude to everyone who participated in creating this issue of MEBM. A very sincere thank you goes to all the authors of the articles published in this issue, first of all for submitting their valuable results for publication in MEBM, but also for their patience throughout the entire process. Our panel of reviewers has done an excellent work and remains crucial in ensuring a high quality of papers reaching the publication stage. Finally, I would like to acknowledge the contribution of all the members of the Editorial Board who actively participate in creating each issue.
With hope that these turbulent times will soon be behind us and wishes that all of you stay safe, I invite you to take a look at the newest issue of MEBM.

Vol. 1 No. 1 (2018)Dear Readers,
It is my honour and pleasure to introduce you the scientific journal Molecular and Experimental Biology in Medicine (MEBM).
The journal is published under the patronage of the Croatian Society of Biologists in Health Care (CROSBIH) and with support from the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. MEBM is a bi-annual, peer-reviewed, open access journal without publication fees for the authors. We hope that in this way, through our Journal, we will achieve our two main goals: publication of scientific information based solely on relevance and scientific value; and a free and unlimited access to such information for all. This, however, ultimately depends on you, esteemed readers and authors, as your contribution in terms of sending us your results for review and possible publication is of immeasurable value in launching a scientific journal. Therefore, I invite you to have a peek at our first issue and let us convince you that MEBM is the right choice for publication of your data.
